SUNBELT RENTALS NEW PRODUCTS AT NO-DIG LIVE

Specialist utilities equipment rental provider Sunbelt Rentals is showcasing a series of innovative new products and greener solutions at No-Dig Live 2022.

The company, which has over 200 depots nationwide, will be unveiling a brand new PE pipe pressure testing solution for the first time. Combining specially designed equipment with an
intuitive app, the solution feeds directly into the Sunbelt Rentals Command Centre and SmartSite app.

Compatible with both Apple and android devices, the system comprises an app enabled, digital data logger that determines a pass/fail test for type 2 pressure testing. It incorporates enhanced safety features to abort tests if the test is going to fail or is deemed unsafe due to air content.

The new pressure testing solution has been specifically designed for the utilities and pipelines sector, as calculations for testing potable water pressure pipelines have been translated into computer code and embedded into the SmartSite app. Sunbelt Rentals’ web-based Command Centre displays critical information and test certification.

The equipment is lightweight and fully rechargeable, providing 48 hours of continual use. With GPS tracking, it enables instant on-site results, imaging, live decay curve plotting and automated air calculation and elevation correction. Sunbelt Rentals’ utilities specialists will be on the stand throughout the duration of the show to provide demonstrations of the new pressure testing solution.

Battery Powered Electrofusion

Also on the stand will be the new EFuze range, representing the first battery powered welder that can be used all day, every day. With the most powerful battery unit on the market, it takes just 60 minutes to charge the battery from flat to full, providing an average of two weeks’ work on a single charge. This rechargeable welder has the
power to silently weld over 200 couplers (32 mm diameter) on one charge. EFuze will help customers to achieve net zero by reducing carbon emissions of the welding process by 98%.

The World’s Most Sustainable Welfare Range Sunbelt Rentals is leading the curve in equipment rental and providing utilities customers with an extensive range of greener products. Visitors to No-Dig Live 2022 will be able to see the ‘Deep Green’ welfare unit which holds the title as the ‘world’s most sustainable welfare range’. Solar powered with 100% renewable energy, a combination of solar energy and the use of HVO biofuel results in virtually zero emissions. The ‘Deep Green’ unit has a 3.5 kVA backup generator on board but most of the time, the generator will not need to start at all.  Generator run time is reduced by a minimum of 98%.

Almost silent in operation, the unit has minimal water use. A micro-flush system uses as little as 0.5 l of water per flush, compared to 6 l in a standard toilet, representing a
water saving of over 90%. Rain harvesting and grey water recycling cuts water refills and reduces waste.

The ‘Deep Green’ welfare unit is carbon neutral in operation. CO2 emissions are reduced by an average of 8,283.3 kg annually and it allows a fuel saving of approximately 3,090 litres of fuel per year. At the end of its life, the unit is 97.2% recyclable.

Electric Plant

Another attraction on the Sunbelt Rentals stand will be the company’s electric excavators. The company has invested significantly in the latest electric plant, offering the largest
fleet in the UK rental market. All electric plant is designed to match the power and performance of diesel-powered alternatives, providing an effective solution to working
in zero emission zones, noise sensitive areas, enclosed spaces, tunnelling and night work.
