EcoVadis platinum rating: A global benchmark for sustainability
EcoVadis is a globally recognised platform that assesses corporate sustainability across supply chains. It evaluates companies based on 21 sustainability criteria in four key areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The assessment process includes a comprehensive questionnaire tailored to the company’s industry, location, and size, with expert verification to ensure accuracy.
Initially, SAERTEX multiCom’s German headquarters received an EcoVadis Gold Medal. However, upon review, additional documentation elevated its rating to Platinum, the highest possible award. This places SAERTEX multiCom among the top 1% of 150,000 companies assessed worldwide.

Five EPDs published for the entire product range
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a standardised document that provides transparent and objective data on a product’s environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. Unlike sustainability certifications, EPDs focus on the accuracy and neutrality of environmental information, verified by external experts.
With the support of the independent consulting firm WESSLING Consulting Engineering, SAERTEX multiCom gathered and standardized data for its entire product range. As a result, five EPDs were successfully verified and published by EPD Danmark. These EPDs cover SAERTEX-LINER MULTI, ENVIRONMENT, INDUSTRY, H2O, and GAS, ensuring transparency for GRP liners manufactured at the company’s Saerbeck headquarters. This milestone makes SAERTEX multiCom the first German manufacturer of GRP liners to publish EPDs for its full product portfolio.
