Kobus Services Ltd is delighted to announce that Steve Terry (pictured) from Wessex Water has been inducted into their European Hall of Fame. This recognises the efforts and contributions made by Kobus’ clients and partners in promoting the adoption of the Kobus Pipe Puller trenchless technology. As with any new, innovative technology, it takes determination, perseverance and commitment to gain adoption of the method. Often, it is individuals within our customers who make this happen and we are eternally grateful for their support. Sean Dunne, Operational Manager, Engineering & Sustainable Delivery Mains Replacement and Small Schemes, at Wessex Water nominated Steve for the Hall of Fame saying ‘I propose Steve Terry as a Kobus Hall of Fame entrant for his unfaltering commitment to getting the very best out of Kobus through the Wessex network. I estimate he himself has carried out over 300 pulls and supervised well over 1000 which may make him the most experienced Kobus operator in Europe. Like any new method, Kobus needs the right mentality and Steve has that for sure! He embodies the Wessex commitment to innovation for the benefit of our customers and stakeholders.’ Wessex Water has adopted the Kobus technology and has 7 pipe pullers (6 x KPP300s and recently a KPP400) in constant operation replacing lead, copper, steel and poly service pipes, benefitting from less customer disruption, faster safer replacement, lower costs and more environmentally friendly technology compared to traditional methods.
