Kobus Services Ltd will be exhibiting at the No Dig Live 2022 event offering the unique KPP300 and KPP400 Pipe Pullers for the trenchless replacement of legacy gas and water service pipelines.
The KPP300 is a modular unit, driven by its own power pack, which is ideal for single replacements and difficult to access applications. The big brother KPP400 is a self-contained, excavator-mounted Puller which suits multiple replacements in one area. Both Pullers are capable of removing lead, copper and PE pipes up to 1 in (25 mm) diameter and approximately 20 m length. The excavator-mounted Puller has also been specially designed to remove steel service pipes with its additional power and unique spool design.
The old pipe is quickly removed taking just minutes to extract it from the ground and a new PE replacement pipe is towed in along the same path making the process quick, easy and safe. This technique virtually eliminates the risk of utility strikes and the old legacy pipework can be recycled instead of being left as environmental waste in the ground.
