Specialist crews from Jet Aire Services were tasked with assisting a Tier 1 Contractor on a high profile improvement project in Leeds City Centre.
The images from the Leeds headquartered firm show perfectly the before footage of 3 identified structural issues and also that of the repaired finish.
The original CCTV survey camera footage highlighted that the 75m length of 225mm drain was both badly fractured and had root ingress.
Prior to lining, Jet Aire crews removed the roots using High Pressure jetting and robotic equipment – removing all waste and ensuring a smooth and quality repair could be achieved.
A UV-activated CIPP structural liner extends the life of the asset through it’s strength, covering all of the defects and preventing future root intrusion. To complete, whilst a hi-tech robotic cutter did its work underground the eagle-eyed crew made sure everything went to plan – viewing it’s progress via live footage at ground level in the control unit.
The job, which was part of the £31m A61 flyover scheme, was completed successfully and to deadline.
The problem having been identified through the firm’s CCTV inspection and quality reporting, was then identified as suitable for this type of repair and offered as the best industry solution to remedy.
This was preferred, without the need for digging and further disruption to the site.
