Canadian innovators at Water Dragons

Future Water are inviting all those connected with the water industry to join the event free of charge

The leading membership association dedicated to helping the water sector and its supply chain grow and thrive, Future Water, is holding its first international Water Dragons event on World Water Day, Monday 22 March 2021.

The event will see eight of Canada’s most innovative companies pitch their products or services to a panel of water industry specialists and sector influencers, or ‘Water Dragons’ as they are known.

This fascinating event, which is being run in partnership with the Canadian High Commission and the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, will provide new perspectives on the challenges faced by the sector, plus the opportunity to engage with, and maybe even partner these pioneering companies.

Commenting on this exciting new international edition of Water Dragons, Paul Horton, CEO of Future Water said: “This is sure to be a fascinating event with new perspectives on the challenges that we face in the UK water sector. In addition, this event will also provide the perfect opportunity to engage, and possibly partner with, eight Canadian companies eager to make their mark in the UK. If this is successful, there is a possibility that we may also run a reciprocal event with UK businesses pitching to Canadian Water Dragons later in the year.

As we embark upon the second year of AMP7, and innovation takes centre stage with the help of the recently launched Ofwat Innovation fund, there has never been a better time to look beyond the UK horizon to water innovation around the world.”

The companies pitching to the Water Dragons are:

  • U.G Signals – TRITON – Intelligent Water Surveillance.
  • AquaSensing – Battery-free Leak Detection.
  • Bishop Water Technologies Inc. – Build up, not out. An affordable, low-energy condominium for bacteria that improves the performance and longevity of wastewater treatment plants.
  • BluMetric Environmental Inc. – Mission Ready Water in a World of Uncertainty.
  • Deep Trekker Inc. – Submersible Robotics: Making inspections & cleaning safer than ever before.
  • Digital Water Solutions Inc. – Reduce Failure & Loss in your Water Network: Meet hydrant.AI.
  • FloNergia – The FloMov Pump – The Future of Pumping and Aerating Water.
  • Tap Report – Inspections and Documentation – Solved.
